What information do we collect & why?
Your name and contact information is collected on our website (www.logastonpress.co.uk) when you place any order. We do not store credit card, bank or any other payment details. We do not sell or share this information with anybody else. It is only used by us so we can process the order and send out your books or other items you may have ordered. We have no access to your bank details, debit or credit card details, and none of this financial information is stored or kept on our website or in our office. While it is on our website, this information is password protected and only accessible by us.
We are, however, obliged by company law to keep 7 years worth of all our outgoings and incomings, which includes the invoices raised when you order. These invoices detailing your name, address and the items you order, are kept digitally on our password-protected commerce/accounting cloud and stored on paper in our alarmed offices. We keep both paper and digital records to ensure that if either is destroyed or compromised, we have a back up that means we can still comply with company law. If you are unhappy with us keeping your personal details like this, either digitally or on paper, please let us know by email and we will remove this information from the invoices we keep within 30 days of your request.
When you buy books and other things from our website, you will be asked if you would like to start an account. You don’t have to start an account, you can choose the ‘guest’ option. For those who do choose to have an account with us, either for convenience or to keep a history of your orders, your name, contact information and order history will be logged on our website. So long as you choose to have an account with us, this information will be stored on our servers on a password protected WordPress administration page, only accessible by us. If you change your mind about having an account with us and request to be forgotten, please let us know by email and we will completely remove you from the system within 30 days of receiving your request.
You may at any time request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write: Fircone Books Ltd, The Holme, Church Road, Eardisley HR3 6NJ, UK . Likewise, if you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please let us know and we will change any incorrect information.
